1. My Name is Aoife O'Sullivan. Here in the states most people think my name is very unusual, but its actually one of the most common Irish names and is in the top ten baby names for girls nearly every year. When I was in elementry school, there were four Aoife's in my class.
2. I married my husband Ciaran in May 2008 after eleven years together though we have know each other since we were about fourteen.
3. Ciaran proposed to me while snorkelling in the Maldives, very romantic until I realized he had the ring in the water and if it was lost I was not getting another one! I was impressed with his thoughtfullness as he hates snorkelling but knows I love it.
4. I moved from Dublin, Ireland to the states in March 2009. We were originally located in Northern Michigan in a beautiful lakeside town but moved to Richmond because of my Husband's job. While I loved Michigan and made great friends quickly I was happy to be out of there before winter set in as I hate the cold! We have lived in Glen Allen since August 2009.
5. My favorite thing about Virginia is the fact that the sun shines almost every day.
6. My son's full name is Ciaran Lenny O'Sullivan, we wanted to name him after his Dad but call him Lenny as we think its so cute.
7. Lenny arrived March 17th 2010 after a really great pregnancy and birth. He will always have a great birthday as its St Patricks day, something people always think we planned but it just worked out that way.
8. I think the person who invented the epidural deserves the Nobel peace prize!
9. Lenny just received his first passport this week. He is a US citizen as he was born here but also an Irish citizen because we were born there. This gives him the great advantage in life of being able to live and work in the US or Europe as an adult and not have to worry about dealing with visas or immigration lawyers which I know is a total nightmare!
10. My parents lived in New Hampshire for eight years but are now back in Ireland. I miss them every day but they visit often, and we go home for two weeks at Christmas so the time we do share is very special to me.

11. Lenny is the first grandchild in my family so sometimes I feel guilty that he doesn't see his grandparents and aunts and uncles more often, but our life here is worth the sacrifice. He has eight cousins on Ciarans side of the family so the are all looking forward to meeting him at Christmas time and he cant wait to meet them!
12. Every thing in my life now is totally different to how it was just a year and a half ago but I still feel like the same person on the inside.
13. I have a lot of friends who have not been so lucky as me to be able to have a baby without help and that makes me appreciate every day how lucky I am to have my son and never take these things for granted.
14. I joined Stroller Strides when Lenny was six weeks old. On my first day Kelly was the instructer, and Cathy was the only other person in the class. She's now my best friend in Richmond and I have never been to another class with only two people so maybe it was fate!!
15. Before Stroller Strides I hated to work out. I walked my dog every day and did yoga for several years but never liked to do too much jumping around! Now I love it and can't imagine not working out several times a week.
16. My dog is a seven year old Spaniel mix named Sky. She came from Ireland with us and it took her a while to acclimatise to the heat. She is great with Lenny and doesn't even seem to mind him pulling at her ears and tail, pinching her, climbing on her and generally being a nuscence!
17. I love a few glasses of wine or a few cocktails at the weekend!

18. I just got my new BOB a few weeks ago and love it, I still find it very amusing that I could be so passionate about a stroller but again that's just another example of how life changes after you have a baby!
19. I would like to have another baby in the next couple of years. I used to say that if it was another boy I'd go again for a girl, but now I think two would be enough for me to handle!!
20. After Christmas I am thinking of getting a part time job, in Ireland I worked in accounts but dont want to go back to that so I'm trying to think of something more interesting or fun to do. I will find it hard to leave Lenny but think it may be good for him to learn to socalize with other
kids without me there.
21. Every Monday I like to bake soda bread and oatmeal muffins. It lasts me the week and means there's always a healthy option in the fridge. I also like to make Lenny's baby food and am a little surprised how domesticated I have become since becoming a stay at home mom. I do however still hate to iron and tend to wait till there's nothing left to wear
before I can bring myself to do it.
22. I love gorey horror films and am looking forward to going with Ciaran to see Saw 3D, it may not sound romantic to most but we love having date night with a few drinks and a blood and guts movie!

23. I sometimes think I should learn more baby songs for Lenny's sake as I'm sure hes sick of my two staples of Old McDonald and Twinkle Twinkle.
24. I am hoping the weather stays nice for as long as possible as I love to be outside, especially for Stroller Strides.
25. All in all I love living here in Richmond with my little family, and Stroller Strides is a great part of my life. If I ever move back to Ireland my dream is to open the first International Stroller Strides franchise. Yes classes would be inside a lot more often, but I think there
are lots of Mommies there that would love the concept and the classes as much as I do.
