Join the Get Fit Challenge

Join Stroller Strides®’ National "Get Fit Challenge"! This will be a 3 month long challenge February 20 – May 22 to see what changes you can make in your life to create a healthier, stronger, leaner you! The best part is that you will have your fellow Stroller Striders encouraging you along the way so you are sure to succeed! Register by FEBRUARY 16th! The challenge is FREE. You will be provided with weekly emails that include fitness tips, recipes, support, and more! In order to participate you MUST attend the fitness evaluations at the beginning and end of the program. These will be held at Stroller Strides class on Friday, February 20th and May 22nd. Are you up for it? Go for it!

LUNAFEST 2009 is going to be INCREDIBLE!

LUNAFEST® is a fundraising film festival dedicated to promoting awareness about women’s issues, highlighting women filmmakers, and bringing women together in their community.LUNA created LUNAFEST® to support women on a number of levels. Here is our mission:

• To provide women filmmakers the opportunity to be seen and heard


• To empower women by showcasing women’s issues, stories and amazing moments


• To support women’s health and our partnership with the Breast Cancer Fund


• To support local communities by providing non-profit groups a creative medium to raise funds for local organizations


• To provide women with a forum to communicate, share, and inspire social change within their communities

Here is a description of the charities we will be raising funds for this year! The Breast Cancer Fund is a national organization dedicated to researching and raising awareness of ways to prevent breast cancer. The second charity is Cleaning for a Reason which donates house cleanings to women undergoing cancer treatments. The local business My Hands for Hope provides eco-friendly cleaning services to these women free of charge. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of ticket sales and silent auction monies will benefit these charities.
